  1. Fr. Tim,I have just set up a Blogger account to comlpy with your new protocol, so this is partly a test run and partly a comment.Your new registration system will hopefully solve your problems distinguishing between commentators who post anonymously. I have to admit to some misgivings, though, having read the Blogger terms of service that I’ve just signed up to.If ever the totalitarian secular state wants to come after any of us for incitement of religious hatred, breach of the Sexual Orientation Regulations, and other crimes against relativism — or if ICEL doesn’t like our comments about their new translations — the authorities can now find us more easily. From Section 3, Privacy: “You agree that Google may access or disclose your personal information, including the content of your communications, if Google is required to do so in order to comlpy with any valid legal process or governmental request, such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, or court order…”There’s the Al-Qaeda clause too: “Personal information collected by Google may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country…By using the Service, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.” Don’t like the sound of that!We can also be censored or silenced for crimes against relativism: “Google may, in its sole discretion…suspend or terminate your account.”So while it’s still legal to do so, I’d like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. (What’s that police van doing outside my house?)
